As I read the articles it actually brought me to a realization that I am forgetting about the fun in the classroom and actualy put a lesson off until Monday to let the kids play a little trivia contest on Friday and have some fun. I am sure glad laughter is good for reducing blood pressure, and helping fight heart disease because with three kids under the age of 5, being a varsity basketball coach, being overweight, and not the worlds healthiest eater I could use something to combat these things
I really liked this article because I think it puts into words what I have always felt about laughter. I have always tried to deal with stress through laughter. Also, like the article says the best thing you can do for a person going through a lot of stress in their life is give them a chance to laugh. One part that really jumped out to me when I read this was how we feel bad if we have too much fun. I think this is true. I think of all the times when I have given up something fun because I felt I had too many other things to do. I think I have to make concious effort to do the fun things as well as be responsible.
